Spencer Grant Expands 成人头条 Student Access to RiskWorld

The Big Picture:
For the second consecutive year, the Prudential Risk Management Academy at the Woody L. Hunt College of Business has received a general grant from the Spencer Educational Foundation. The award builds on last year’s program and supports expanded student participation in industry-facing experiences.
What the Grant Supports:
The grant will support an expanded group of students attending the RIMS RiskWorld Conference in May 2026, increasing access to professional networking, current industry practice, and career exploration in risk management.
Why It Matters:
Conference participation provides students with direct exposure to the profession. RiskWorld allows students to engage with practitioners, observe how the field operates in practice, and begin forming professional connections outside the classroom.
Student Perspective:
Reflecting on RiskWorld 2025, Daniela Gonzalez Jimenez, a risk management student, noted:
“Talking directly with professionals helped me understand how the field actually works and what early career paths can look like.”
Emiliano Garcia, also a risk management student, described the experience as useful for clarifying next steps:
“It gave me a clearer picture of where internships and mentorships fit into the profession.”
Looking Ahead:
With continued support from the Spencer Educational Foundation, the Prudential Risk Management Academy will send a larger cohort of students to RiskWorld 2026, extending access to industry exposure and career preparation.
