Hunt Business advising begins during the third week of classes. Students advised by the College must complete the advising module before making an appointment.
Your academic advisor emails the advising module during the second week of September or February.
Review the information and complete every required part before requesting an appointment.
After completing the module, call 915-747-5174 to schedule an in-person or online appointment with your advisor.

After grades are submitted, the College conducts a final audit to confirm that all degree requirements have been met. Students generally receive their original diploma by mail about 12 weeks after graduation.
Make sure the mailing address in the university system is correct and clear any holds that could delay the diploma. Common issues include balance-due and exit/default holds. Contact Student Business Services at 915-747-5116 with questions about a balance-due hold.

Hunt Business undergraduate advisors help eligible business students with degree plans, major requirements, prerequisites and professional development opportunities. The Hunt Business Undergraduate Advising Office is located in BUSN 104.

Business students who have earned 46 or more credit hours receive academic advising through the Hunt Business Undergraduate Advising Office in BUSN 104. Advising in the College begins during the third week of classes. Students must complete an advising module emailed directly by their academic advisor before scheduling an appointment. After completing the module, call 915-747-5174 to schedule the appointment.

Meet with an advisor in your current college to request a major change. After your current college approves the release and notifies Hunt Business, you can meet with a Hunt Business academic advisor. Major changes can be processed when registration for the following semester begins. Business students must also complete the required student orientation.

Business students must maintain a minimum 2.0 overall GPA and a minimum 2.0 GPA in business courses. Accounting majors must also maintain a minimum 2.0 accounting GPA.
