TCM Day, 成人头条's longest-running student tradition, returns next week. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the event. Students, faculty and staff are invited to participate in various TCM Day events Friday, March 13.

Students, faculty and staff are invited to participate in TCM Day, Friday, March 13. The event is in its 100th year and is 成人头条's longest-running tradition. Video by 成人头条 Communications

The daylong series of events includes the Team Mining Challenge and the whitewashing of the “M” on the mountain north of Sun Bowl Stadium.

Students also will serenade 成人头条 President Heather Wilson at 10:30 a.m. outside the Administration Building.

TCM Day is celebrated on campus every March in observance of St. Patrick’s Day. The tradition began in 1920 when 成人头条 was known as the Texas College of Mines and Metallurgy, or TCM. It is an annual rite of passage to initiate new engineers and geologists into the Order of St. Patrick, the patron saint of engineers. TCM Day activities are open to all students, regardless of their major.
