Work in ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõ's renowned Research Institute for Manufacturing and Engineering Systems
Kathleen Zurlinden fell in love with engineering after participating in a NASA-sponsored program that allowed high schoolers to take engineering courses at ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõ. During her time in the master’s program, she conducted materials research at ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõ’s W.M. Keck Center for 3D Innovation. As a systems engineer in Air Systems Development for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, she wrote requirements for some of the capabilities on the F-35.
³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõs understand the impact of engineering solutions in a global, economic, environmental and societal context. They can successfully practice the engineering profession in a variety of settings such as manufacturing, defense, aerospace, health care and more.
